Le Transat Restaurant, nestled at 1 Pl. du Coz-Pors in the charming coastal town of Trégastel, France, offers an authentic French dining experience that seamlessly marries exquisite cuisine with breathtaking sea views. This seaside gem is renowned for its warm, inviting atmosphere and impeccably friendly service, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and travelers seeking a memorable meal by the water.
The culinary focus here is classic French fare with a distinctive Breton twist, perfectly showcased in their standout dishes. Their signature Les Moules Frites is a delightful journey of flavors, featuring options such as the traditional Marinière (€17.00), a rich and aromatic broth that accentuates the natural brininess of the mussels. For those craving something creamier, the Crème version (€18.00) offers an indulgent, velvety touch. Adventurous palates will appreciate the Curry breton et algues (€19.00), a unique blend of local seaweed and curry spices that beautifully elevates the dish into something memorably distinct.
Dessert lovers will find genuine bliss in the handcrafted artisanal ice creams, with vibrant flavors like ripe mango, fresh mint, tangy cassis, and the decadent salted caramel that guests rave about. Each scoop (€3.00) is a perfect balance of creamy texture and authentic ingredients, cooling the palate after a flavorful meal.
To round off your dining experience, Le Transat offers a refined selection of digestifs. From the locally inspired Elixir d'Armorique to the refreshing Menthe glacée and classic French liquors like Calvados and Cognac, every sip complements the meal with a satisfying finish. Their Irish Coffee (€9.00) is also highly recommended for a cozy touch to any evening.
The restaurant’s ambiance is effortlessly charming — light-filled and airy with panoramic views of the sea, providing a serene backdrop that enhances every bite. Guests consistently praise the attentive and gracious staff, with many noting the personalized recommendations, especially when it comes to pairing wines that perfectly suit individual tastes. The service strikes an ideal balance between professionalism and warmth, making every diner feel truly valued.

What a fantastic evening. We booked a table and thank goodness as lots of people were looking as they walked by. Friendly and attentive staff, lovely food and a welcoming atmosphere. We were in, had two courses and had paid within an hour and a half and five of us dined and wined at a great price.

Excellent service. Amazing food at excellent prices. We were treated like king and queen and i have utmost respect for the owner and server. I asked what he would recommend for wine and after tasting, we individually got the wine best to our liking. Also the fish soup was excellent. I would recommend coming here to everyone.
